The background of the socks are a minty blue color, so I painted my pinky, index finger, and thumb with Essie “Blossom Dandy”. This is one of my favorite Essie polishes of all time. Such a beautiful color, and totally my style. I’m actually going to need a new bottle sometime soon!
Then, since the background of the scales is black, I painted my middle and ring fingernails black. To create the scales, I used the scale nail art stencils from Snail Vinyls, and then painted over it with a gold holographic flaky polish by Glisten and Glow, called “Aye Spy Doubloons”. The holographic effect of this polish really helped match the multicolored pattern of the scales on the socks!
That’s pretty much the whole design! It’s really simple, and the Snail Vinyls stencil makes doing mermaid nails so easy. **Don’t forget to use my code NAILSBYERIN for 15% off on SnailVinyls.com!**
I had some shells lying around from my last few times I went down the shore, so I decided to take some pictures with them, too. I definitely went a little crazy with all my pictures for this mani, but I’m really happy with how they turned out 🙂
