My 18th Birthday Nails!

Hello everyone!

Today, August 16th, is my 18th birthday! 🙂

Every year, I do my nails for my birthday in a typical “Erin” style. Lately, my style has been much more simple, and with cute pastel colors. For this year’s birthday mani, I decided to incorporate chevrons (my fave), glitter, and one of my all-time favorite polishes: Floss Gloss “Lavish”.

It’s funny because I was actually given “Lavish” one year ago by the lovely team at Live Love Polish as a present for my 17th birthday! It is an absolutely stunning light purple creme that only needs two coats. The formula is smooth and easy to work with but the polish doesn’t try very shiny. I just topped everything with my Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat!

I used a medium chevron vinyl from Snail Vinyls for my ring finger, with Starrily “Ultima” sponged on top. I also used the same silver glitter as the base on my middle nail.

The “18” is freehanded with a Picture Polish short, thin brush. I find that the best way to do letters and numbers like these is to start with the light color (the purple) and block in the numbers. Then I made the edges more precise by outlining them with black acrylic paint. I’ve been doing this for years!

No tutorial for this look; it’s just a fun and easy design that I quickly did for my birthday 🙂

Thank you guys for your constant love and support. I love sharing my hobby with you and I am thankful for each and every one of you!
