Hey everyone!
Today’s nail art is a simple design that’s perfect for fall, using shades from the Essie Fall 2019 Collection. These polishes were kindly sent to me by Essie.
This collection is limited edition and includes 6 beautiful, autumnal shades. I’m loving them all! I decided to take 4 that really complimented each other and combine them in a simple nail design, and nothing makes me readier for chilly weather than a plaid pattern!
Keep on reading to hear more about this nail art and this gorgeous collection.
I started with a base of “easily suede”, which I absolutely love. It is such a classic and universally flattering taupe. Perfect for this time of year! I can definitely see myself reaching for this shade for the next few months.
Another thing that I really love about these polishes is that they have the new Essie wide brush, which makes application a dream. The formula of them was also super smooth and easy to work with.
After “easily suede” was dry, I created thin, straight lines perpendicular to each other across my nail. I started the lines with “hay there”, a light golden yellow creme. Then I used “home grown”, a peachy shade with a gorgeous shimmer. Finally, I used “rust worthy” to create the bronze lines. I’m also holding the bottle of that shade! It’s so metallic and gorgeous.
I finished with a top coat, and that’s pretty much it! It’s a super easy design which is why I didn’t film a tutorial. You can also use so many combinations of shades from the collection to create this look. These just so happened to be the shades I reached for, but the possibilities are endless!
Thanks for reading! I hope you all enjoy this nail art.
Love,
