Floral Colorblocking Nails | butter LONDON Spring Patent Shine 10X Shades

Hi everyone!

I’ve been so happy that the weather is starting to warm up and summer doesn’t feel so far away anymore. I have a few new bright colors that I’m excited to wear now, and that includes the 3 newest shades from the butter LONDON Patent Shine 10X Line!

I have a lot of polishes from the Patent Shine 10X Collection because I really love how smooth the formulation is, plus they are really shiny and last well on my nails. I was excited to add more to my collection!

They recently released “Cotton Buds”, a pure white creme, “Strawberry Fields”, a neon hot pink creme, and “Yellow Submarine”, a vibrant yellow. I decided to incorporate them all into a bright and fun spring/summer nail art design!

For more details on how I did this and what I thought of the polishes, keep on reading 🙂

I started with a base of “Cotton Buds”. It only took 2 smooth coats for full opacity! And I also wanted to note that these polishes have a great brush for application. It’s wide and flat, and the end is curved so it really makes getting a perfect cuticle shape easy.

Then, I added color-blocking stripes of “Strawberry Fields” and “Yellow Submarine”. (by the way, I hope you guys appreciate those Beatles references as much as I do! 🙂 ) These two colors are really bright and pretty. I haven’t swatched them on their own, but they appear to be creamy enough that 2-3 coats would make them opaque on their own. However, as it is with many neons, layering them over this white really helps make the color pop and look even more vibrant.

You can definitely stop at the stripes, because I really loved how these looked with just colorblocking, but I decided to make these a little more fitting for the season by adding some simple dotted flowers. Super easy and cute!

Am I the only one who feels like this colorblocking and floral combo feels a little 60s-esque? It was definitely a different look for me but kind of fun.
