Londontown Pretty in Pastels Spring 2020 Collection | Swatches and Review

Hi everyone!

Today I have swatches and reviews from the new Londontown Pretty in Pastels Spring 2020 Collection. There are 6 pastel cremes in this collection.

I love spring and I love spring polishes even more… Pastels are some of my favorites so I was super excited to try these out. Each polish retails for $16 and they are available on the Londontown website.

Let’s get into the swatches!

First up is Uncovered. Here I’m wearing 2 coats with top coat. This is a really creamy, sandy nude with warm undertones! It’s very opaque for a light color and it went on very smooth. This isn’t my absolute favorite shade of nude, but you guys probably know by now that I tend to have trouble finding nudes that flatter my very pink skin tone. This will look great on so many people! It’s just not my favorite on me.

Then we have Buttercup, a pastel baby yellow creme. I ended up needing 3 coats, and I’m wearing top coat. This was almost a 2-coater but it was just slighltyyy sheer after the second coat. I decided on a third for full opacity. But that’s not too uncommon for yellow polishes, so I don’t really mind. I don’t go for yellow polishes but if I did, this would be what I reach for! It’s a really pretty pastel shade. Definitely perfect for spring!

Next up is In the Clouds, a sky blue creme. I’m wearing 2 coats with top coat. Gorgeous!! I love love love blues and light blues are my fave. This one is really pretty and still has a bright quality to it while being pastel. This one is definitely a shade I’ll reach for in the spring.

This is Rosewater, a pink-toned nude creme.  I’m wearing 3 coats with top coat. In my opinion, this one was a little more sheer compared to the other polishes. But I love this shade of nude and this is one of my favorites from the bunch! I really like the way this one looks on my skin tone and I think it’s the perfect blend of rosy and nude.

Then there’s Mint No Chip, a classic mint green creme. In my swatches, I did 2 coats with top coat, but could be 3 if you’re not careful. If your coats are too thin or you start doing too many brush strokes, you’ll start to create bald spots in the polish. This is a perfect pastel and it’s super pretty. If you like mint greens, you’ll definitely love this one!

And last but not least is Plush, a light mauve-y creme. I’m wearing 2 coats with top coat. I love this shade! It’s super pretty and is great if you usually go for nudes but want to venture into some color. I found this one to be really flattering on my skin tone, and it’s really shiny. I really love mauves but I don’t think I have one that is more pastel like this! I’ll definitely be rewearing this one.

A few things I want to note on this collection overall: they all have a flat, wide brush which is my favorite for nail polish application. It is the perfect size and width for getting a perfect cuticle line and it gets the right amount of polish on the brush. I also found these to be pretty fast-drying, definitely faster than I expected!

The last thing though is a bit of a downside… While I found these all to be well pigmented, they sometimes did seem like they were getting a little thicker. I think with continued use, these polishes could thicken up and make application more difficult. This is easily solved with a few drops of nail polish remover!! But I know some people might not have that so I wanted to mention it. Otherwise, I really love the shades in this collection!

Thanks for reading! I hope you all enjoyed and found this review helpful.

Love,
