Beach Nails (Re-do from 4 years ago!)

Hi everyone!

Today I have a recreation of one of my old designs (from July 2013!!) I did some beach nail art and since I was going down the shore this weekend, I decided to recreate this design.

Plus, a recreation was kind of necessary. I always cringe when I look back at my old nail art, and this was no exception. But on the other hand, it’s great to see how much I’ve improved over the years!

Keep on reading to see more pictures and find out how I created this design!

I started with Zoya “Blu” as my base. I forgot how much I love this polish! Such a beautiful light blue shade. I definitely took more time with my gradient for this recreation than I did in my old mani. I also ditched a lot of the doodles I put on each nail. I had seagulls, a palm tree, and a sunshine in my last version, but I decided to simplify it and just leave the little starfish I did. I actually think I like it better this way 😁

Brace yourselves; here’s my nail design from 4 years ago:

Yeah, it was definitely time for a makeover. But it was actually really fun to redo an old mani that I used to love. Maybe I’ll do something like this more often!

I wore these the whole weekend and really liked having that extra bit of beach festivity on my nails.

I watched my old tutorial and…. yikes. I sound like a 12 year old and it looks like I recorded it on a toaster 😂  So I filmed a new tutorial for them and uploaded it to my YouTube channel. Check it out here:
